Different

As the kids grow, it is really fun to see how different they are!  I don't know whether to attribute it to their personalities, their gender, or differences in how we are raising them, but to me, it is always interesting to analyze.

For instance, both started crawling right around 9 months (Graham about two weeks before, Grace about two weeks after).  However, how they moved once they could has been very different.  Once Grace could move, she was gone!  It was hard to keep track of her.  She was small-ish for her age and it seemed like she could move really quickly.  She crawled around everyone until right at 12 months when she started to walk.

Graham just started crawling but doesn't seem to care much for it.  He's liked to stand since he was maybe 4 months old.  He loves standing; standing's his favorite (Love that I can insert an Elf reference here!).  He was able to pull up and stand before he could crawl.  So, my prediction was that he would skip crawling altogether.  He has not done that but still doesn't crawl much.  He can cruise around holding on to furniture.  If there is nothing around to help him stand, though, he largely just stays in place.  He's content in so many ways and it seems like even when it comes to moving, he's content to stay put!

Here are the two kiddos each at 9 months...they both have those beautiful, bright blue eyes!
