I love that Graham is mostly a very happy baby. He's very social, too. Pretty much any time he sees a person, he lights up with a huge smile. However, there are times when I wish he wasn't quite so social. For instance, every night right before bed and in the middle of the night. When I am trying to put him to bed, he just stares at me and smiles and giggles. In the middle of the night when I check on him while crying, he looks up and stares at me with a huge smile. Almost as if to say, "Just wanted to say hi, Mom!" It is precious! But it's a bit frustrating, too. Lately he has not been sleeping well and at this point I'd rather him sleep than stare at me with that huge grin. I feel awful saying that, but I am starting to get really, really tired....for some reason I only remember not sleeping with a newborn. I didn't expect to be losing sleep with an almost-five month old!
Despite the picture, Grace really enjoyed going to the dentist yesterday. She did amazing-- sat in the chair with her mouth wide open the whole time! I was very impressed. She took Geri with her and held her during the cleaning. I was prepared for tears and a fit, so I made sure to talk it up and tell her all about what they were going to do. First cleaning: success!
