Tiny Chef

As you probably know, I love to bake.  Last night, in honor of the terribly icy weather, Grace and I decided to make snowman sugar cookies.  She enjoyed tasting the cookie dough and flour and putting her block in the flour and then chewing on it.  Like any kid, she also loved getting flour all over her clothes.  Grace was the consummate helper as these pictures prove.  I really need to get her a matching apron!

In a couple of the pictures, you can tell that she is clapping (her new favorite thing to do).  She's kind of obsessed with clapping and does it all of the time.  She made everyone laugh during the games Friday night because she would clap while crying... not sure what that means.  These days, she's more into clapping when we clap, when she hears music, or when she's happy.  Grace also continues to move only backward, a source of great frustration for her.  This morning, while N was making breakfast and I was computer-ing, Grace managed to make almost two full circles around the kitchen/breakfast nook area moving only backward.  She acted like all she wanted to do was move forward, but she just can't do it.  I feel for her!
